Job-Training

Through our partnerships with the South Atlanta Marketplace, Community Grounds Cafe, and FCS Community Economic Development, Pride for Parents is proud to support job training efforts in the neighborhood of South Atlanta.

Due to the lack of business investment in our community, there is a severe shortage of jobs in and around our neighborhood for those people that would love to have the opportunity to work.  Through the businesses supported by FCS Community Economic Development, we have identified several young adults in the community and have offered them employment with us so that they can begin to learn the necessary work place skills to survive in the business world.  Our employees are involved in all aspects of the businesses including: marketing, customer service, and business plan development.  They get a taste of every side of the businesses and what it takes to survive in a tough business environment.

By supporting Pride for Parents through financial gifts and toy donations, you are helping to equip young people with workplace skills that they might not otherwise have had the opportunity to learn.  In our small corner of the world, we are trying to break the economic cycle that causes us to have Pride for Parents in the first place.  Our hope and goal is that 20 years from now, Pride for Parents does not need to exist in South Atlanta because the young adults in our community now will be raised up with workplace skills that will allow them to support their families on their own.
